Volunteer for Credit Opportunity for Students

Want class credit for volunteer hours? Want to volunteer somewhere close to campus? Consider taking, Social Justice in Education: Educ 401- C. The class will meet every Thursday from 4:00-5:20pm. We will predominantly work with the Interagency Academy which is an alternative high school branch of the Seattle school district. Class credit is given for the number of volunteer hours completed (minimum is 2.5 hours per week). Volunteers would get the opportunity to work with students on a variety of high school subjects including Earth systems, World history, Biology and many other classes. Volunteers would need to be willing to work on a range of high school classes for it may not be possible to partner tutors with students under one discipline, but we will try to work around preferences. Potential volunteer hours are from Monday- Thursday 9:30am -2:30 pm. Our scheduling is quite flexible. One of the major perks is that you can do meaningful work close to campus! We have a branch located on 45th and 15th, directly across the street from the Burke Museum! If you enjoy teaching, or simply want volunteer hours, then this is the class for you!! I look forward to seeing you in the fall. Robert Hall P.S. Have any question? Email rhall9@uw.edu
