Invitation to IHME’s Open House- Tuesday March 15th, 2011

You are cordially invited to an Open House at the

Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation

March 15, 2011

5:30-8:30 pm

2301 5th Avenue, Suite 600

Seattle, WA

Please join us to celebrate an exciting and productive three years since the Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation (IHME) first opened its doors in Seattle! Our researchers will be on hand to guide you through the work we have completed so far, what we are working on now, and our plans for the future, as we work to better understand the current state of population health and the steps necessary to improve it.

The Open House will also provide a number of different ways that guests can interact with our research and data. Come and explore:

· Innovative visualizations using mortality, immunization coverage, and health financing datasets, revealing fascinating patterns and trends across countries and over time

· The Global Health Data Exchange, our new online platform for IHME results, source data, and health indicators

· Cutting-edge tools that IHME uses to analyze datasets

· The “risk score calculator,” which uses inputs of weight, blood pressure, and other key characteristics to tally one’s risk of premature death.

We would also like to thank you personally for your support of IHME since we started out and hope you will be able to join us for what promises to be an evening filled with great food, beverages, conversation, and discovery.
