If you are flying to Seattle, you should plan your arrival to Sea-Tac International Airport. Sea-Tac International Airport is located approximately 20 miles south of the University of Washington.

US Visa

Foreign citizens will need to request and receive a US visa before arrival in the US. Please visit the U.S. Department of State – Bureau of Consular Affairs to review the requirements for receiving a U.S. visa. We are happy to provide letters of support upon request, after participants have applied and been accepted to attend the course.


Sea-Tac International Airport provides many ground transportation alternatives to driving that you may utilize in order to travel to the University of Washington. These include shuttle, taxi, and towncar services, public transportation via the Link Light Rail and Metro bus service, and app-based rideshare.
