We focus on identifying and clarifying how autism develops, how the brain is involved, and how we can intervene to improve the quality of life for individuals and their families. For some studies we use a &#8216;genetics-first approach&#8217; by identifying rare genetic variants that are likely contributing to ASD. We employ approaches such as imaging, genetic sequencing and behavioral phenotyping\/assessments.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Calibri;\">The Clinical Psychology Research Fellowship in Autism Spectrum Disorder is a two-year, postdoctoral fellowship in clinical psychology. The position will spend 100% time working on research projects related to Autism Spectrum Disorder. The primary work location will be in the Bernier Lab at the Center on Human Development and Disability at the University of Washington. Our three clinical psychologists, Raphael Bernier, PhD, Jennifer Gerdts, PhD, and Arianne Wallace, PhD, will serve as primary research and clinical advisors.
