The theme for this year\u2019s conference was &#8220;Outcome Measures, Biomarkers, and Treatment Possibilities&#8221;. Dr. Hudac participated in a symposium highlighting EEG as a tool for evaluating biomarkers with colleagues from UCLA (Drs. Shafali Jeste, Sandra Loo, Charlotte DiStefano, Abby Dickinson). Dr. Hudac\u2019s work described overly responsive ERP patterns of attention and learning associated with ASD and comorbid intellectual disability. From a genetics-first approach, she noted that this pattern was particularly severe in children who have a rare genetic variant that impacts early brain development.
