Target Group

Underrepresented High School Southeast Asian and Asian Americans. Consideration will be given first to students with ethnic heritages from underrepresented Asian groups.


Rising SEAs is a conference hosted by the University of Washington Office of Minority Affairs & Diversity to encourage and foster the leadership of underrepresented Southeast Asians and other Asian Americans.

Rising SEAs is FREE! Food will be provided throughout the day. The only cost to you will be transportation to and from the University of Washington-Seattle campus. Apply now while space is available!

*Underrepresented Southeast Asian students are defined but not limited to the following ethnic heritages: Khmer, Khmer Loeu, Khmer Krom, Hmong, Mien, Khmu, Lao, Taidam, Tai Lue, Vietnamese, Cham, Montagnards, Karen; this group also includes students from Bhutanese and Burmese heritages.
