TISSAM OVERVIEW
TISSAM Training
Training is highly recommended for the
TISSAM program. Teen Futures Media Network, College of Education, University of Washington, has been
conducting training for
TISSAM teens since 2004. Everyone involved in each of the
TISSAM community and school groups first received training from Teen Futures.
The one-day
TISSAM training sessions are designed to include both
teachers/adult leaders as well as the teens that teachers have designated as
their
TISSAM presenters prior to the time the training has taken place.
Teen Futures is now able to extend the offer to train teachers/adult leaders
and teens in your local area. In this tight economy, the most cost effective
way for Teen Futures to bring this one-day training directly to you is to offer
the training in the following manner:
Cost for training:
$150 per teacher/adult leader.
Special Note: This offer can only be made to
groups of 10 or more adults.
This basic fee includes:
- The opportunity to bring with you the group of teens you have
designated as potential TISSAM presenters
- The TISSAM curriculum materials ($75.00 if purchased
separately)
- Travel expenses and per diem for 2 University of Washington
presenters (expenses negotiable dependent on location)
