The School of Marine and Environmental Affairs (SMEA) at the University of Washington educates students about contemporary issues in marine systems, policy, and management, helping them to become tomorrow’s leaders and stewards of marine and environmental resources. Private support is essential to our success. Endowed scholarships, fellowships, professorships and chairs, along with flexible unrestricted gifts can translate into real opportunities for our students and faculty. Our continued success depends on your partnership. The link to the left, "How to Give" describes a number of options for making meaningful donations in addition to our priority funds below.
Please visit the UW Foundation web site to contribute to any of the following priority funds. Thank you for your support!
School of Marine and Environmental Affairs Graduate Student Fellowship Fund: The Graduate Student Fellowship Endowment was established with gifts from a consortium of faculty to provide continuing support for students while they pursue their educational goals at the School of Marine and Environmental Affairs.
Donald McKernan Discretionary Fund: This important unrestricted fund provides scholarship support for students, faculty awards for research and teaching, and support in the general interdisciplinary area of marine studies.
School of Marine and Environmental Affairs Alumni Fellowship Fund: With support from SMEA alumni, this fund helps students excel at the crossroads of marine policy and environmental science.
Your gift means a lot to our school. We want it to be meaningful to you too, by allowing you to support the causes that matter most to you. If you have any questions about supporting your favorite cause, contact our Advancement Officer Daniel Webb at 206-221-4573 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
