The Strategic Analysis, Research and Training Program (START) is a multidisciplinary research team housed in the Department of Global Health at the University of Washington (UW) that provides rigorous and timely research to Global Programs at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.
Objective 1: Provide high-quality research and analysis that will support the development of strategic planning and project execution in the fields of Global Health, Global Development and Global Policy and Advocacy.
Objective 2: Train and increase capacity of University of Washington students to engage in and produce timely and relevant applied research for use in a real world setting.

We are excited to announce the launch of START Center in fall 2014. START Center houses the successful Global Program, founded in 2011, along with the newly established Domestic Program, created through a partnership with the Northwest Center for Public Health Practice.
