Program Information
Are you a high school student in the US who speaks Russian and wants to improve your proficiency in Russian, learn about Russian history and art, and prepare for a possible future visit to the most European city in Russia, “a window to the West,” St. Petersburg, or any other place where you will be communicating in Russian language? Do you want to use your language skills to help others in the community?
Consider enrolling this school year in a Russian language course, “Magnificent Saint Petersburg”!
Russian language and culture hybrid learning (online and off-line options)
Goals of the Program
- Earn high school credit equivalency (based on language proficiency test results - granted by WAFLT) and a certificate of completion from the UW Language Learning Center.
- Examine life in the cultural capital of Russia in the past and present.
- Learn to freely navigate in a Russian-only speaking environment
