This 47 year old female underwent small bowel resection

DISCUSSION QUESTIONS:
1.) For the patient described, what is your differential diagnosis?

The differential diagnosis could include ileus, sepsis from another source (lung, urine, catheter in the vascular system), obstruction, anastomotic leak, ischemic bowel, and a deep surgical site infection.
