DISCUSSION QUESTIONS:
2.) What are other causes of anal pain? What in her history is characteristic of fissure?

Other possible causes of anal pain: thrombosed external hemorrhoid, Grade 4 prolapsed nonreducible hemorrhoids, perianal abscess. Severe pain with bowel movements (pain that is not constant) is typical of anal fissure.
