3.) How would you explain gas in the gastrointestinal tract?

If air is present in the gastrointestinal tract, one can know that there is a fistula between the distal esophagus and the trachea. Therefore the diagnosis of esophageal atresia and tracheoesophageal fistula can be made from the plain film.
