6.) How is fluid resuscitation managed?

Fluid resuscitation is given by the Parkland formula:
4 ml Ringer's Lactate per KG body weight per % total body surface area burned
Half of this is given in the first 8 hours from the time of injury and the other half
in the next 16 hours.
Urine output is monitored. CVP is needed in extremes of age, associated medical
problems, >50% burn, and inhalation injury
