COLORECTAL DISEASE
Case #8 -
A 55 year old male with 3 months rectal bleeding

DISCUSSION QUESTIONS:
2.) What must be particularly observed in the physical examination?

Physical examination must include digital rectal examination to detect presence of a mass. Concomitant anal disease may be observed. The examiner should note whether blood is present on the examining finger and presence of occult blood in the stool. Presence of an abdominal mass, hepatomegaly, or lymphadenopathy should be noted.
