A 55 year old male with 3 months rectal bleeding

DISCUSSION QUESTIONS:
4.) What are the next steps after physical examination in the diagnostic evaluation?

After the history and physical examination is completed, endoscopy is the next step in the diagnosis. If a lesion is identified, it should be biopsied. The entire colon should be evaluated to find any other synchronous polyps or cancer that may be present.
