A male infant is brought to the emergency room

DISCUSSION QUESTIONS:
3.) On physical examination of this infant, what are the things that particularly should be noted?

The site of the defect, presence or absence of a sac, and the viscera herniated should be noted. Associated anomalies are often present and should be identified. These may include chromosomal abnormalities, congenital heart defects, genitourinary anomalies, or absent abdominal wall muscles.
