A one week old infant presents with abdominal distension

DISCUSSION QUESTIONS:
4.) What is the usual presentation of Hirschsprung's disease?

In the neonatal period the child presents with bilious emesis, abdominal
distension, and little or no passage of meconium. In the older child, there is a history of chronic constipation sometimes alternating with diarrhea and failure to thrive.
