A one week old infant presents with abdominal distension

DISCUSSION QUESTIONS:
6.) What is a major complication that may occur in an infant with Hirschsprung's and how would this complication present?

Enterocolitis is a major complication of Hirschsprung's disease.
This complication presents with fever, foul watery stools and distension and may progress to death. Treatment includes colostomy.
