Case #11 -
A 48 year old woman presented with edema of the left lower leg

DISCUSSION QUESTIONS:
3.) What do you expect to find on physical examination?

The pulses will be normal. The temperature of the extremity will be normal. There may be petechiae and brown pigmentation in the edematous leg. The brawny edema is more around the ankle extending to the knee but sparing much of the foot. Secondary varicosities may be present.
