DISCUSSION QUESTIONS:
4.) What are the current screening recommendations for carcinoma of the prostate?

The American Cancer Society recommendations for screening are as follows:
  1. Men older than 50 with a life expectancy of at least 10 years should have annual digital rectal examinations and PSA determinations.
  2. African-American men and men with a family history of prostatic cancer should begin these annual examinations at age 45.
