The UW Department of Medicine’s LGBTQ+ Council<\/strong><\/a>, has launched their department-wide “Out List<\/a>,” a directory to help promote visibility and foster community for LGBTQ+ folks within the Department of Medicine. Queer Medical Student Association (QMed) <\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

The mission of the Queer Medical Student Association (QMed) is to provide education & information to the medical community and all who are interested in healthcare issues concerning the Queer (gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, intersex, etc.) population. We will strive to ensure a welcoming, respectful and safe academic environment for Queer students at the UW Medical School. We are also committed to supporting a diverse community on campus and will provide resources and support for Queer students.
