Dr. Wessells earned his M.D. at Georgetown University. He has published more than 75 journal articles or book chapters, is the recipient of numerous teaching awards and lectures internationally. He serves as a permanent member of the National Institutes of Health, is a member of the Advisory Committee for Urology of the American College of Surgeons and has served on the WHO International Consultations on Erectile and Sexual Dsyfunction.
