I feel fortunate to be part of their journey whether that\u2019s recovery from an injury or realizing the person they were always meant to be. I strive to offer a patient-centered approach in my practice and find it extremely rewarding to partner with patients and their families to develop holistic treatment plans. I cannot imagine doing anything else. &#8220;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dr. Morrison is a plastic and reconstructive surgeon with specialized training in gender affirmation surgery. He grew up in Tucson, Arizona where he completed his undergraduate and master\u2019s degree in Biochemistry at the University of Arizona. Prior to medical school, he conducted protein engineering research in Switzerland as a Fulbright Scholar. During medical school at Stanford, he spent time studying wound healing as a Howard Hughes Medical Institute Medical Research Fellow and working on healthcare policy in Kosovo as a Boren Fellow. He completed his plastic surgery residency at the University of Washington and did further specialized training in gender affirmation surgery at the University of Michigan and Ghent University Hospital in Belgium. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Outside of work, you can find him and his wife exploring the cuisines of the PNW, gardening, or lounging with their cats.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov\/myncbi\/1b77tGEZjbCk2\/bibliography\/public\/\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov\/myncbi\/1b77tGEZjbCk2\/bibliography\/public\/\" target=\"_blank\">Dr. Morrison&#8217;s most recent publications<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>&#8220;I\u2019m constantly in awe to see the resilience and strength in the patients I partner with.
