About Tufan

Tufan Erdinç was born in Mardin, Turkey in 1976. He grew up in Mardin and Izmir, and did his primary schooling in the city. After that, he attended Ege University and majored in computer engineering. In 2000, he moved to America to pursue a job at Microsoft. When he arrived, he joined the Sea Turks - a Turkish American soccer team - and made lifelong friends! In 2007, Tufan married his wife Birgul and they lived in Turkey for a couple years before moving back to the PNW. They have two kids and are constantly surrounded by a large community of loving people. Tufan participates in many Turkish-American organizations and festivals including TACAWA; he is on the board as of recently. He does not regret his move to the Seattle area and frequently visits Turkey every year!
