About Kutay

Kutay Tuncak was born in Ankara in 1942. He did most of his primary schooling in Ankara and completed a chemistry degree at Istanbul College after high school. After this, he moved to Louisanna to attend LSU. Together with his wife, they moved to New Orleans as she attend Twayne University at the time and lived there for about two years before moving again to Seattle for work purposes. For about eight years, Kutay and his wife ran a private label clothing company until they decided to close it down. Being that they had a lot of friends in the area, they had a lot of connections and company through living in the PNW. Kutay still has strong ties to his roots, and identifies himself as being from Ankara. Although he visits Turkey about four months out of the year, he says he would have to strongly consider it before picking up and moving back as he has a strong community and resources here!
