About Mine

Mine Tuncak was born in Istanbul, Turkey in 1949. She attended the Orta Dogu Teknik University and lived in Ankara for thirty years before returning to Istanbul and working there for fifteen more years. Upon getting married to Kutay Tuncak, she moved to Seattle, WA and has lived there for twenty-four years since. When asked about where she identifies herself being from, she would say that she is from Istanbul. Mine and her husband ran a private label clothing company for around eight years before deciding to close it down. Mine also talks about how she joined the Rotary Club back in Turkey and visited different Rotary Clubs in Seattle and Kirkland. She explains how this experience helped her make deep, strong connections with American friends.
