Christina Roberts Department: Main Office Year with Upward Bound: 4 years Well, I am a graduate of Nathan Hale's Class of 1996, as well as, the Upward Bound Program.  UB helped me to achieve my goal of attending the UW, which I do now.  I just finished my second year at the UW and am an English major interested in pursuing either Law School or the Graduate School of Education.

Tell one funny event that happened in your life.

The first day that my current boyfriend and I went out together, we walked along "the Ave" (University Avenue).  We went into one of the stores and looked around. As we were leaving, I tripped over a bean bag chair and nearly fell on my butt.  It was embarrassing but we both had a good laugh and have been together ever since (almost two years).

Why did you decide to join the program?

I loved UB as a student and I thought it would be really cool to come back and work for them.

What do you think about the students in the program?

I really like the students overall.  Some of the students are really hard to connect with, but that is expected since we are all unique and have our own ways of viewing the world.
