45 year old patient with history of hysterectomy and masses seen on prior Abdominal CT. What is the diagnosis for the pelvic masses seen in this patient?
This patient had hysterectomy in the past. She presented with lung masses at outside institution and was operated on.
CT showing lung masses
During a preop echocardiogram, single cardiac mass was also seen. All of these were resected.
Transthoracic echocardiogram showing RV outflow tract mass.She had a CT abdomen post op to look for primary masses since these were thought to be metastases.

US was then ordered to evaluate the pelvic masses seen on CT.
Differentials given – fibroids, less likely fibroma or metastases.
Histopathology showed smooth muscle neoplasm consistent with leiomyoma for the masses in lung and heart. Hence the paraovarian masses are leiomyomas. Final diagnosis: Benign metastatic leiomyomas.
