Dr. Valerie Li is an Assistant Professor of Accounting in the UW Bothell School of Business. She received her Ph.D. in Accounting from the University of Washington in Seattle. Her research focuses on corporate misconduct and earnings quality. In her research on corporate misconduct, she examines the impact of financial misstatements on peer firms’ real operations. In her research on earnings quality, she explores ways to improve the measurement of the quality of financial reports.
