Washington Campus Coalition for the Public Good sponsors the Chancellor’s Student Civic Leadership awards. As a Washington Campus Coalition for the Public Good member institution, UW Bothell has the opportunity to recognize and award two of its student civic leaders. The Chancellor’s Student Civic Leader Award recognizes students that are addressing critical issues on their campuses and in their communities through service and social entrepreneurship.
Students are nominated by faculty, staff, students, community partners, or can self-nominate for consideration by their institution’s president. Both graduate and undergraduate students are eligible for nomination.
Student Nominee Criteria
- Currently enrolled in a Washington Campus Coalition for the Public Good institution as a graduate or undergraduate student
- Has demonstrated civic engagement through social entrepreneurship, service, advocacy, campus clubs/organizations, volunteering, and/or work-study positions
Selection and recognition
Each year, UW Bothell’s Chancellor selects two outstanding student civic leaders at UW Bothell.
Award recipients will receive the following:
- Invitation to the awards ceremony where they will be recognized (tentatively planned for in-person in April)
- Automatic consideration and eligibility for the Governor’s Student Civic Leader Award (including a financial award)
- Professional development opportunities
