Jane E. Decker Endowed Libraries Student Support Fund

The purpose of this endowment is to provide support for students employed by the University of Washington Bothell & Cascadia College Library in attending conferences, workshops, or trainings that align with their educational or career goals. Examples include: presenting the results of their undergraduate or graduate research project at a conference, participating in a diversity or community engagement workshop, and attending a training session that addresses skills needed to advance their goals.

“Jane believed in access to education for everyone and was especially drawn to returning and first-generation students. She was committed to the notion that education can transform people’s lives, in part by expanding their horizons. For example, she promoted global awareness by offering short study abroad experiences that could accommodate the schedules of returning students who worked full time.”
