We are a small but mighty team working in community with community. Together with our partners, we’re working towards a more holistic and equitable system where local services better support all dimensions of well-being for every community member. Social and economic factors like food security, housing and jobs determine more than 50% of well-being. Clinical care addresses symptoms, but the root of well-being begins in the community.

Work Description:

You will assist in our community outreach efforts by supporting the set up and take down for each of our events. During outreach you will be promoting key health promotion messages and access to health and well-being information tools and local resources that provide a means for individuals and families to take action, making a positive contribution to their own well-being and personal health goals.

This work will assist in supporting the needs of the community through prevention efforts. Developing materials and supporting outreach efforts that have consistent and culturally appropriate messaging tailored to a variety of communities is crucial for our commitment to health equity.

This position will be working in a hybrid environment, which includes some in person requirements and online meetings.

Must be 18 years old

Skills Needed:

  • Be willing to assist with outreach events
  • Have an eye for ‘consumer friendly’ materials, presentation of information, including culturally appropriate
  • Work and collaborate with team member(s).
  • Utilize effective organization and communications skills
  • Think creatively about community assets
  • Have basic knowledge of internet research and health topics

Shift Times:

Sunday from 8:30 AM to 7:30 PM
Saturday from 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM

Students will arrange schedule with site supervisor. Hours will be arranged depending on activities and events.  NOTE: Some opportunities will include a hybrid of office/data entry work, however, most will be community outreach events with varied hours throughout Snohomish County, and many are weekends and some evenings. The number of available outreach event opportunities is dependent on lead staff . We cannot guarantee regular or consistent hours.
