RiseUp Academy Nonprofit Leadership & Business Development Intern

This internship position at Rise Up Academy will contribute to the organization’s mission by involving interns in key functions such as strategic planning, community outreach, and brand development, directly supporting the goal of providing educational opportunities to underserved communities. Interns will apply their skills in real-world scenarios, driving initiatives that increase the academy’s visibility, resources, and partnerships. Their business development and marketing work will enhance the academy’s ability to reach and support more students. At the same time, their contributions to nonprofit leadership will strengthen the mission of fostering growth, resilience, and leadership. This collaborative experience will help interns grow professionally and create lasting value for the organization and its community.
In this position, interns will work closely with the Rise Up Academy team, assisting with strategic planning, community outreach, and marketing efforts. Daily tasks may include researching, developing promotional content, supporting fundraising, and helping with business development strategies. Interns will gain hands-on experience in nonprofit leadership, business development, and marketing while enhancing communication, project management, and problem-solving skills. The work environment is collaborative and mission-driven, allowing interns to contribute ideas, interact with diverse professionals, and gain valuable insight into the nonprofit sector.
This position will play a vital role in supporting RUA’s growth by helping to increase enrollment. Ultimately, it will create lasting value for both the organization and the students we serve, enabling us to have a broader and more meaningful impact
