Summer Emergency Management Assistant is a unique opportunity for UW Bothell students to gain experience in emergency management, campus safety, public safety, applied research, and public education. Students will have the opportunity to conduct applied research on safety and emergency management topics, create public education materials, and work on emergency management projects.

We’re looking for proactive, organized students who demonstrate strong creativity and communication skills. Due to the nature of working in emergency management, students should have flexibility and discretion with sensitive information. Experience with creating multimedia presentations or other content is preferred. Undergraduate students from any major are welcome.

This position is unpaid. However, we will support interested applicants in applying for the $1500 Summer Research Award to fund their summer work.

For more information, contact the UWB Emergency Preparedness Manager, Matt Colpitts, at mcolp@uw.edu.
