UW Pharmacy Nelson-Mendenhall Summer Scholars Program

The Nelson-Mendenhall Summer Scholars Program (NMP) provides funded opportunities for undergraduate students from two- and four-year colleges and universities to conduct research with faculty members at the University of Washington Seattle.
You can learn more about our School’s diverse research areas here:
- Department of Pharmacy, which also houses the Comparative Health Outcomes, Policy, and Economics (CHOICE) Institute
We have funding for seven or eight students in 2025. Ideal applicants would be rising juniors, with some chemistry experience, who are eager to experience and would benefit from laboratory research. We are especially interested in applications from those underrepresented in the pharmaceutical sciences.
This year, the program will run from June 23–Aug 29, 2025, in Seattle, WA. Scholars will receive a stipend of $7,500.
