“We envision a Washington where all residents have access to our state’s best jobs, and our companies have the diverse, local talent they need to innovate for the world.”

Financial assistance + Mentorship + Career training

We offer financial aid, mentorship opportunities, and career training to holistically support Opportunity Scholars as they build their pathway to a high-demand career.

Our support is a fundamental reason why our Scholars graduate faster, take on less debt, and earn a higher average salary than their peers.

Our program is designed to deliver the best possible return for students, taxpayers, and private sector partners investing in Washington’s future workforce.

CURRENT SCHOLARS

Baccalaureate Scholars

The Baccalaureate Scholarship (BaS) provides up to $22,500 in scholarship funding to students pursuing bachelor’s degrees in high-demand STEM and health care majors in Washington state. This scholarship can stack on top of other financial aid to cover tuition, fees, and other costs, such as living expenses, food, and more.

Career and Technical Scholars

Our Career & Technical Scholarship provides up to $1,500 each quarter to fund a high-demand associate degree, certificate, or apprenticeship program at Washington’s 34 community and technical colleges or approved apprenticeship program sponsors. Scholars can use this funding toward trade, health care, or STEM programs across Washington state.

Graduate Scholars

Our Graduate (GRD) Scholarship provides up to $25,000 to fund Nurse Practitioner students from one of Washington’s six graduate nursing schools. The scholarship can be used toward four primary care and behavioral health-focused DNP or MSN program tracks. These programs lead to jobs that Washington State’s medically underserved communities need most.
