Dear Roger,
As you may be aware, on April 24, 2024, the Department of Justice (DOJ) published a new rule on digital accessibility under Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). This rule mandates that the University's web content, including academic course content, be accessible by April 24, 2026.
To achieve this goal, we are currently surveying our web properties to identify website managers who could assist us in making necessary updates. We kindly request your assistance in this matter. We believe the list of sites below may belong to you or your unit. Could you please verify this for us? Additionally, if there are any sites managed by you or your team that are not included in this list, please inform us. Conversely, if there are sites listed that do not belong to your team, let us know, and if possible, provide the contact information of the responsible party. Lastly, we ask that you prioritize these sites based on their traffic or importance to your unit.
Please respond to this message by Friday, September 20th. We will be using the information you provide to help us prioritize and scale the services we're providing to support this work. We will follow up with you in late September with additional information about the tools and services that are available to support you in this effort.
If you have any questions, please let us know.
Thank you, in advance, for your time and attention.
