My research uses the <a href=\"https:\/\/faculty.washington.edu\/pmacc\/LO\/LiveOcean.html\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"https:\/\/faculty.washington.edu\/pmacc\/LO\/LiveOcean.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">LiveOcean<\/a> numerical model to investigate the physical and biogeochemical processes that influence hypoxia in Puget Sound. I\u2019ve always found physics in nature to be mystifying and have slowly been drawn closer and closer to sea. At present, I am especially interested in estuarine physics and understanding anthropogenic influences on coastal ecosystems.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In undergrad, I studied general engineering at Harvey Mudd College. Afterwards, I worked as a mechanical engineer at BD Biosciences making blood analyzers.
