Washington State has one of the highest prevalence of adults with <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">any<\/span> mental illness and <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">serious<\/span> mental illnesses (2nd after Alaska) and one of per capita psychiatric bed availability.<span id='easy-footnote-1-72' class='easy-footnote-margin-adjust'><\/span><span class='easy-footnote'><a href='https:\/\/depts.washington.edu\/uwgmh\/about-our-program\/about-uw-mental-health\/#easy-footnote-bottom-1-72' title='Atkins, D. Washington trails the nation in mental health treatment.
