(We can\u2019t process the I-20 without this departmental funding information entered here.)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ol start=\"2\">\n<li>The updated International Student Funding Detail page is a new<strong> MGP release<\/strong> as of this February. GEMS extends a warm thanks to the GPAs who provided feedback to our Computing &amp; Information Resources (CAIR) team for these improvements:<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ul>\n<li>Awards approved by the Graduate School (International Student Tuition Waiver; Top Scholar, etc.) automatically appear in the Funding Detail page, and do not need to be entered by you.<\/li>\n<li>Salary will be entered as the monthly amount. MyGrad will calculate the quarter total automatically.<\/li>\n<li>You no longer need to enter amounts for tuition and insurance awards.<\/li>\n<li>We have updated the <a href=\"https:\/\/grad.uw.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/UW-I-20-Request-and-Funding-for-International-Applicants.pdf\">I-20 Request and Funding for International Applicants<\/a> reference guide.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/grad.uw.edu\/admissions\/understanding-the-application-process\/international-applicant-information\/financial-ability-requirement\/\">Financial Ability Requirement<\/a>\u00a0page has been updated with estimated total expenses for the 2020-2021 academic year.
