For complete details please review <u><a href=\"https:\/\/grad.uw.edu\/admission\/understanding-the-application-process\/#Minimum%20Admissions%20Requirements\">Minimum Admission Requirements<\/a><\/u>.\n<ul>\n<li>\u00a0a four-year baccalaureate (or equivalent) <u><a href=\"https:\/\/grad.uw.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/Admissions-Checklist-for-GPAs.pdf\">degree<\/a><\/u> from a regionally accredited institution (degree to be conferred before start of program studies at UW)<\/li>\n<li>\u00a03.0 <u><a href=\"https:\/\/grad.uw.edu\/admission\/understanding-the-application-process\/admissions-faqs\/#GPA%20Calculating%20Assistance\">grade point average<\/a><\/u> from the last graded 90 quarter credits or 60 semester credits<\/li>\n<li>English proficiency<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Exceptions to minimum admission requirements must be approved with MyGrad petitions to the Graduate School dean <em>before<\/em> offers are extended to applicants. Instructions for creating these petitions are in the <u><a href=\"https:\/\/webappssecure.grad.uw.edu\/mgp-dept\/help.asp\">Help<\/a><\/u> section of MyGrad under Applications (Other).<\/li>\n<li>GEMS has added a new MyGrad Help file, <strong>\u201cHow to request a low GPA Petition&#8221; <\/strong>(per advisor request at the Community Forum, this help file outlines information to include in the justification).<\/li>\n<li>If you aren\u2019t sure if an applicant is meeting minimum requirements, please submit a MyGrad evaluation request. GEMS can assist in computing a GPA, evaluating a degree for equivalency or verifying accreditation of a foreign institution for any applicant regardless of their citizenship status.
