{"id":1139,"date":"2021-03-16T10:04:08","date_gmt":"2021-03-16T18:04:08","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/depts.washington.edu\/uwgrad\/?p=1139"},"modified":"2021-03-16T10:04:08","modified_gmt":"2021-03-16T18:04:08","slug":"spring-2021-convey-admissions-decision-deadline","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/depts.washington.edu\/uwgrad\/2021\/03\/spring-2021-convey-admissions-decision-deadline\/","title":{"rendered":"Spring 2021: Convey Admissions Decision Deadline"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Please\u00a0be advised the fifth day of instruction,\u00a0<strong>Friday,\u00a0April 2nd<\/strong>, is an important admission\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/grad.uw.edu\/for-students-and-post-docs\/degree-requirements\/dates-and-deadlines\/#Spring\">deadline<\/a>\u00a0for\u00a0Spring\u00a0Quarter.<\/p>\n<p>The following actions should be taken in\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/grad.uw.edu\/for-faculty-and-staff\/mygrad-department-view\/\">MGP<\/a>\u00a0<strong>no later than\u00a0April 2nd:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Submit admission petitions\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Confirm<\/strong>\u00a0the student has withdrawn from all classes (see SRF100 in the Student Database or MGP transcripts).<\/li>\n<li>Defer \u2013 admitted for\u00a0Spring\u00a02021 deferring to a future quarter<\/li>\n<li>Early Entry* \u2013 admitted to future quarter planning to begin\u00a0Spring\u00a02021<\/li>\n<li>Change Offer Accepted to Declined Confirmed Status (Applicant paid ECD but will not attend).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">Convey decisions for all\u00a0Spring\u00a02021 applications, including decisions for late applications<\/span>\n<ul>\n<li>Enter admissions decisions for any applications still in &#8220;Received&#8221; status<\/li>\n<li>Note: Applications without decisions are automatically changed to &#8220;Denied&#8221; status after the 8th day of the quarter<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Submit student petition\n<ul>\n<li>Defer\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.aep.uw.edu\/\">AEP<\/a>\u00a0requirements (refer to our\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/grad.uw.edu\/admission\/covid-19-admissions-faqs\/\">COVID-19 Admissions FAQ<\/a>\u00a0for guidance on online testing requirements)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Please note: Students confirming enrollment for\u00a0Spring\u00a0Quarter will pay their ECD using the ECS student portal (linked in the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/webapps.grad.uw.edu\/applForAdmiss\/login.aspx\">graduate application<\/a>\u00a0offer page); the portal closes on\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/registrar.washington.edu\/students\/ecs\/\">census day<\/a>, which is the 2nd Friday of each quarter. Students should\u00a0<strong>not<\/strong>\u00a0go in-person to pay their ECD and should\u00a0<strong>not<\/strong>\u00a0mail the ECD checks to Schmitz Hall.<\/p>\n<p>We encourage you to refer to our\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/grad.uw.edu\/for-students-and-post-docs\/degree-requirements\/dates-and-deadlines\/\">Dates &amp; Deadlines\u00a0<\/a>calendar for quarterly \u201cConvey Admissions Decisions\u201d deadlines and the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/grad.uw.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/gradadvisorguide.pdf\">GEMS Graduate Advisor Guide<\/a>\u00a0for details on the petition processes described above.
