{"id":970,"date":"2018-12-31T09:04:23","date_gmt":"2018-12-31T17:04:23","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/depts.washington.edu\/uwgrad\/?p=970"},"modified":"2018-12-31T09:04:23","modified_gmt":"2018-12-31T17:04:23","slug":"winter-2019-convey-admissions-decisions","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/depts.washington.edu\/uwgrad\/2018\/12\/winter-2019-convey-admissions-decisions\/","title":{"rendered":"Winter 2019- Convey Admissions Decisions"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Please be advised the fifth day of instruction, <strong>Friday, January 11<\/strong>, is an important admission deadline for Winter Quarter.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong>The following actions should be taken in MGP <strong>no later than January 11:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Submit admission petitions for any changes to Winter 2019 applications\n<ul>\n<li>Defer \u2013 admitted for Winter 2019 deferring to a future quarter<\/li>\n<li>Early Entry* \u2013 admitted to a future quarter but planning to begin Winter 2019<\/li>\n<li>Change Offer Accepted to Declined Confirmed, if an applicant paid ECD but will not be attending<\/li>\n<li>Change application from Offer Declined to Offer Accepted<\/li>\n<li>Change application from Deny to Received<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Convey decisions for all Winter 2019 applications, including decisions for late applications**<\/li>\n<li>Submit student petitions to defer\u00a0<u><a href=\"http:\/\/aep.washington.edu\/courses\/placement.asp\">AEP<\/a><\/u> requirements<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>*<\/strong>Early Entry:\u00a0 A student moving from a later quarter to begin Winter 2019 should be processed <em>as soon as possible<\/em> to prevent registration problems. Please contact GEMS if the student is in F-1 or J-1 student status.<\/p>\n<p><strong>**<\/strong>Late applications: Students who accept an offer on or after January 7 will need to pay the Enrollment Confirmation Deposit by following the Registrar\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/helpcenter.uw.edu\/enrollment-confirmation-system\/\">instructions<\/a> for \u201cafter the start of the quarter.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>We encourage you to refer to our\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/gs1.s.uw.edu\/for-students-and-post-docs\/degree-requirements\/dates-and-deadlines\/\">Dates &amp; Deadlines<\/a> calendar for quarterly \u201cConvey Admissions Decisions\u201d deadlines and the <a href=\"http:\/\/grad.uw.edu\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/gradadvisorguide.pdf\">GEMS Graduate Advisor Guide<\/a> for details on the petition processes described above.
