{"id":94,"date":"2019-11-21T18:49:23","date_gmt":"2019-11-21T18:49:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/depts.washington.edu\/uwhatc\/FCAP\/?page_id=94"},"modified":"2026-06-29T23:05:46","modified_gmt":"2026-06-29T23:05:46","slug":"services","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/depts.washington.edu\/uwhatc\/FCAP\/about-us\/services\/","title":{"rendered":"Services"},"content":{"rendered":"\r\n<p>FCAP offers consultations and assessments.<\/p>\r\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\r\n<li><strong>FCAP Consultations <\/strong>are a 45-minute phone conversation with the DCYF social worker to address a specific question.\u00a0 Questions considered during a consult might include whether adjustments to visitation will be helpful or what specific service will address a given problem for a child or caregiver.\u00a0 Consultations can be scheduled very quickly, and FCAP produces a written summary of recommendations within 48 hours.<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n\r\n\r\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\" \/>\r\n\r\n\r\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\r\n<li><strong>FCAP Assessments <\/strong>target the most complex cases that require an intensive level of assessment.\u00a0 They use a systematic approach to evaluate families, including standardized measures and consistent oversight for quality assurance.\u00a0 An assessment includes a review of several documents and interviews with the DCYF social worker, parent(s), caregiver(s), youth, CASA\/GAL, and potentially other collaterals.
