Harborview Abuse & Trauma Center provides assessment, brief counseling and support for victims and their non-offending family members. If recommended, we provide evidence based trauma specific therapy.
The initial appointment is free and is designed to address concerns, provide information and support, assess symptoms and help make a plan for the future. Counseling can be arranged after this initial visit.

*Priority for counseling services is given to the following King County residents
- All children, teens, and young adults that are 21 years old or younger
- Adults (over 21 y/o) who have experienced a trauma event within the past two years
- Adults (over 21 y/o), on a case-by-case basis, who have experienced a trauma event more than two years ago

Parent Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT) for children up to age 8.
Alternative’s for Families (AF-CBT) for children 8 and older.
