{"id":2507,"date":"2022-07-29T14:00:21","date_gmt":"2022-07-29T14:00:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/depts.washington.edu\/uwhatc\/?page_id=2507"},"modified":"2025-04-01T20:54:03","modified_gmt":"2025-04-01T20:54:03","slug":"ceta-learning-collaborative-training-and-consultation","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/depts.washington.edu\/uwhatc\/ceta-learning-collaborative-training-and-consultation\/","title":{"rendered":"CETA Learning Collaborative Training &#038; Consultation"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2>What is CETA?<\/h2>\n<p>CETA is a cognitive behavioral approach shown to help posttraumatic stress, anxiety, and depression in\u00a0<strong>adults\u00a0<\/strong>affected by traumatic experiences.<\/p>\n<p>The common elements in CETA are Relaxation; Cognitive Coping; Exposure-Trauma Memories; Exposure-Live; Cognitive Restructuring; Behavioral activation; Problem Solving.<\/p>\n<h2>Training Components<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Part I: Three day online remote training<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Part II: Follow-up Telephone Clinical Consultation<\/strong>.<br \/>\nTwice monthly 1 hour group consultation calls for 6 months.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>The training consultation will be delivered by the Harborview\/ UW team in collaboration with WA CETA Trainer Consultants.<\/strong><\/p>\n<h3>Organizational Requirements<\/h3>\n<ol>\n<li>Licensed community mental health center in Washington State committed to supporting implementation of CETA for eligible clients are eligible to participate.<\/li>\n<li>An organizational CETA trained supervisor must agree to provide ongoing CETA supervision to their participating staff.<\/li>\n<li>Organizations that have not previously attended a CETA Learning Collaborative must have a senior clinical administration contact Whitney Hellyer, Clinical Supervisor, (cinder@uw.edu) prior to acceptance into the training.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h3>Participant Requirements<\/h3>\n<ol>\n<li>Attendance at the 3-day online Zoom training.<\/li>\n<li>Deliver CETA and participate in monthly one hour telephone consultation calls over six months.<br \/>\na. Attend 8 of the 10 telephone consultation calls<br \/>\nb. Present 1 \u2013 2 case presentations<br \/>\nc. Document delivery of two CETA cases using the identified CETA flow.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>One case must include trauma in the flow.<\/li>\n<li>Supervisors only need to complete one case; a trauma flow is strongly preferred for the one case.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Document cases in the online EBP Toolkit. Toolkit will enable trainees and consultants to monitor case progress and enhance the consultation process. In Toolkit, trainees will enter a minimum of 6 sessions per case, initial and repeat standardized measures and document delivery of sessions following a specific CETA flow.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h3>Registration Notes<\/h3>\n<p>Only clinical administration or CETA supervisors may register participants.
