Year at UW: Third

About me: Hey there. I'm a third-year student at the UW and a first-year student in the Informatics program in the UW Info School (iSchool), currently commuting daily. I like learning about exciting technologies that connect people with information and each other in meaningful ways. I'm also a huge Pokémon fan, so there's that. I've been an undergrad researcher at the iSchool since April 2013 as part of a small research group led by an iSchool professor researching the Mozilla Open Badges Initiative, a new online standard to recognize and verify learning through a universal, open digital badging/portfolio system. It's super cool and I love to talk about it. I've taken a bunch of honors courses, have a software development internship and research experience under my belt, and also recently become a member of the Information School Research committee as a student representative. This summer (2014), I'll be working as an intern at Adobe Seattle. If you'd like to chat about any of these topics, the honors program, what I'm doing, or just want someone to talk to, contact me and we can arrange a time to meet up. I'm always happy to chat.
