Year at UW: Fourth
About me: Hello! My name is Kaitlyn (Katie) Tom and I am a senior at the UW. Originally from Honolulu, Hawaii, coming to Seattle and becoming a part of the Honors and broader UW community has been one of the best decisions that I have ever made. A General Biology major, I hope to pursue a career in dentistry after I graduate. Outside of schoolwork, I currently volunteer at the UW Medical Center within the Arts in Healing Program and am an active member of various pre-health, service, and outdoors clubs on campus. For the past two years I have also been conducting a literature review on local anesthesia in dentistry and am currently interning in a genetics lab downtown. If you want to know more about pre-health courses, research, volunteering, the Honors Program, UW student life, or have any other questions, feel free to contact me! I'd be more than happy to answer any questions that you might have!
