Changes in reimbursements as well as movement from fee-for-service to value-based care and an increased focus on the health of populations are driving factors. Care transformation is essential in enabling us to adapt to these changes.\u00a0We will leverage and build on the great work that has been undertaken at UW Medicine in this area over the past several years. Care transformation will help drive the necessary changes across the UW Medicine system to improve our delivery of patient care and support the wise use of healthcare dollars. Care\u00a0transformation comprises the strategies and tactics to help achieve the \u201cQuadruple Aim”: improving the patient experience, achieving better health outcomes, controlling costs and addressing clinician satisfaction.<\/p>\n
